Warlord Games Announces Cruel Seas

Warlord Games have announced a new game and miniatures line. Protect you naval crew from the enemy and the ocean in Cruel Seas!
These are the midget ships, the motor torpedo boats, the minelayers, the minesweepers, the S boats, the R boats, the light destroyers, the armed barges, the flack ships, the armed trawlers and Mas boats, the PT boats, the landing ships and all manner of strange and wonderful small ships that made up the coastal forces of the main belligerents in WWII.
Drop off commandoes behind enemy lines, and command your flotilla to engage in vital attacks or conduct secret missions in this miniature game release!
For £50 ($80), the standard starter set includes:
- A4 softback rulebook
- A4 quick start guide with painting guides and flags
- 3x Plastic early Vosper motor torpedo boats
- 3x Plastic late Vosper motor torpedo boats
- 2x plastic S-38 E-boats
- 2x plastic armoured S-100 E-boats
- 1x plastic torpedo markers sprue
- 1x plastic plume markers sprue
- 1x A0 double-sided battle mat
- 3x die-cut punchboards (islands, sandbars, rulers, mines markers, game tokens, lighthouse, aircraft, etc)
- Ship datacards for early and late Vosper MTBs, S-boats and merchant/tanker
- Small, medium and large wake sheets
- 2x sets of fleet dice (Royal Navy and Kriegsmarine)

I quite like the idea of this game as i played some world of warships and this feels the same. Anyone seen any pictures of the mini’s though? Is it 1/300 scale?
1/300 scale and we saw a sprue in the flesh at the BA bootcamp, and Andy even painted them. It looks interesting, naval combat isn’t something I’d normally be interested in, but apparently the system is compatible with Blood Red Skies, so combined games could be a thing.

Rather torn by this. As naval warfare is my primary interest this is something I should be all over. The models we have been shown are fantastic. The scale is wrong though. Most games are abstractions I get that, and Bolt Action, 40K etc. are completely off scale when it comes to the weapons and movement. What the demos for Cruel Sea showed was so far removed from reality you really have to not think of it as remotely historical.
