Reaper Bones Minis for Dungeons and Dragons
Returning after a small pause in the Project...
Ok, so I have been away for a bit with Real Life stuff but I have been chipping away with painting here and there…
This is a mini I found while unpacking a few more boxes. It is from the Reaper Warlord range so thi mini is actually metal so has a great weight to it.
The 2-tone armour colour was easily achieved very simply by base colour of Leadbelcher (GW) as a base coat, then a wash of Agrax Earthshade (GW), then the areas I wanted to be lighter, I highlighted with another light coat of Ironbreaker (GW) to lighten areas up (not sure how well it picks up on the camera).
Next is a Human Male “Ranger” (I decided to call him a Ranger due to the hooded cloak, and I also said “Human”, but theres nothing to say it isn’t an Elf).
I have done a similar technique of the armour but with a green tint.
This was done by using a green wash (Biel-Tan Green (GW)) over a Leadbelcher base coat, and then highlighted with Ironbreaker. Due to the deep green cloak, it could be the green reflecting off the armour, or the fact the armour is made from a metal with a slight green tint to it… I will let you decide. 🙂
Last but not least in this update, I have had to add another “bad guy” so have a Vampire. Again, he has a tinted armour so I decided on a red to add to the evil vibe and I am undecided but may have the Vampire to have a red lining to his cloak so may end up looking like the armour is reflecting the red colour.
This was done by a wash of Carroburg Crimson (GW) and then the highlighting as above.
