Rebel Games Create Beautiful Bouquets In Blossoms
October 16, 2018 by brennon
Rebel is bringing out a new two-player game called Blossoms which has you crafting beautiful bouquets of flowers.
Here's more about the game...
"To set up, give each player two random face-down cards and three action tokens. Place the flower pots in the centre of the playing area with space above them for the growing flowers. Place four different flower cards, one in each pot. Take one card from the draw pile and place it aside face-down.
Players alternate taking turns, trying to make the most valuable combination of flowers possible."
During a turn, you can do a number of different actions including Growth which allows you to draw cards, Plant which allows you to finish one of your flowers and set it for scoring, and Special which allows you to then tweak a number of different pots dependant on the card you've used.
The points at the end of the game are scored based on the size and diversity of your plants. I think this looks like it will be a wonderfully relaxed game for two players where you get to create something beautiful by the time you're done.
Hopefully, we'll run into this at Essen!

the game play reminds me of scoops 2.0 by Safe Haven for some reason.
