We are legitimate businessmen, trying to run a legitimate business through legitimate means. Now, if you don't mind, my bodyguards and I must attend to my private zoo - legitimately, of course.

Such is the life of El Señor, an aging gentleman in the import-export trade. Close to retirement, he has gathered la Familia together on the Dia de Muertos to take part in an annual cooking competition. The best apprentice cooks have arrived to make the most intense sauce possible and earn the good graces of this pillar of the community.

In BUURN, players must bid for the best ingredient cards, but savvy chefs can also earn the favour of the Mexican cartel, ahem...I mean, extended family to help them on their journey towards taste. Some ingredients can also fall off the back of a truck. It happens. Stop asking questions. Go feed the hippos.

Once the end-of-game card is drawn, players make their final bids, and the player with the highest ingredient collection points wins the game and, presumably, gets to see their family again.

BUURN is a fun, fast-paced card game for 3-5 players, and will most likely gain the same popularity as Exploding Kittens or Unstable Unicorns when it is released in 2019. No word on whether it will make an appearance at Essen or not, but we're certainly looking forward to giving this one a try!

Quiz Time!: Which cartel leader famously owned his own zoo? Answers in comments!
