Empire At War added to their collection of pre-painted terrain with some new options for those looking to recreate the Wild West and the war-torn landscape of Normandy during World War II.

Old West Church School - Empires At War

The first of these is an Old West School/Church that could actually work in a modern setting as well as one set back during the days of pioneers and explorers. As with all of their buildings you can get inside them and play around with the interiors.

This looks like a good place for a shootout where your gang has tried to hole up somewhere quickly. You could also see it as the last bastion of defence against an oncoming horde of angry zombies perhaps too. A perfect bottleneck could be formed at that door whilst you escape out the back!

Old Macdonald's HAD A Farm...

As well as that Old West building we also have this Ruined Barn from their Normandy range which looks like it might have taken a few stray mortar shells.

It provides enough cover to make it useful in games but also allows for some close quarters fighting inside it too. You could even bring some additional levels into play here if you want to give a sniper a roost in the top corner.

As we've been playing a lot of Bolt Action over the last few days I could see this making for an awesome tabletop where your squads are having to fight through farmland, trying to reunite with the rest of their team and push on towards an objective.

What do you think of this new terrain?
