Just pinging this thread to assure you that now that the Boot Camp is complete, I’m hoping to get Darkstar “off of life support,” especially with the recent attention on the weekender XLBS, possible live streams, and Lets Play episodes.
If you’re still interested, we can continue to test possibilities for e-play. No pressure at all, just assuring you that you haven’t been forgotten.

Sorry for not getting round to posting on this earlier, been a busy week at the office! I’ve just gotten round to watching XLBS as well and posted a comment there. I am absolutely still interested and excited about the idea of playing. As I said in my comment, I am happy to do live-stream, but equally happy for any other opportunity to play Darkstar, as I have been excited to give it a go for some time 🙂 Just let me know how you want to arrange it, and I will be there.
Okay, @davehawes – I have an online test of the GTM tech arranged today (when it comes to wargaming) – we’ll see how it goes. If it works for Panzer Leader / Arab Israeli Wars, there’s no reason it shouldn’t work for Darkstar. I’ll keep you updated!

All right, @davehawes – we had our first VERY SUCCESSFUL test of the tech yesterday. I hooked up with two people from the UK and ran a hiccup-free SIX-HOUR session of Panzer Leader. No glitches. No issues. The game ran smooth as butter. We’re doing it again this afternoon for Arab-Israeli Wars. What this means for Darkstar is that the tech works. You’ve been waiting patiently for far too long, and are definitely at the head of the line if you still wanted to give online play of Darkstar a try. @oriskany Sounds sweet! It’s my wife’s birthday weekend this weekend coming, but Sunday 2nd December looks free? You are right I am super excited to take the HMS Raven out and try her in battle. I actually feel the waiting just reflects how the crew have felt as they’ve spent the last 6 months travelling the Darkstar Wave, having launched fresh off the line from the Orbital Shipyards at Procyon (British controlled, if I am remembering the lore right?). Totally cool, @davehawes – I might have forgotten to say this earlier but this next weekend is out for me as well – American Thanksgiving and heading up state to see my folks.
