About the Project
This project will be my second Bolt Action platoon I've modeled, and will consist of the following: -Soviet Infantry (Winter) -Siberian Veterans -Soviet HQ (Winter) -Soviet Maxim MMG Team (Winter) -Soviet 82mm Medium Mortar Team (Winter) -Soviet 120mm Heavy Mortar Team -Soviet ZIS-3 Divisional Gun (Winter) -2 Soviet Standard Bearer -T-34/76 Medium Tank This is an intimidating undertaking as the infantry boxes alone are 74 Infantry, then add another 20 from the teams and miscellaneous figures for a grand total of 94 figures and a tank to build and paint. I have lots of plaster, crumbled cork board and sprue bits so I can base the infantry in the ruins of Stalingrad and a ton of model snow to coat the top. I really want to capture the essence of the cold, ruined city and that the Soviets sent hundreds of thousands of men into the city to stop the Axis in this platoon. Putting 74 infantry on the table is not as competitive or optimized as other platoons, but will give an authentic representation of a battle in Stalingrad. This will be a long project and I can't wait to see it come together over the coming months.
