Oriskany catches up with Mick and Rob to see how their game finished up. With this being a little bigger than the other games going on right now it was fascinating to see just how much artillery came down on the tabletop.
If nothing else…the trees got blown up. All of Justin’s hard work gone to hell…

somebody likes his washes a little to hard. Those guys look a little to caramel for my liking… like actual glossy caramel 🙂 please show the men how to do nice and easy dry brushing on them to tone it down 😉

we messed up on several occasions on the correct use of HE, ah well, it was still fun
Template-based weapons?
Artillery created more casualties in WWII than anything else. I always felt bolt action underplayed the power of arty in V1. Haven’t played V2 yet.
Agree 100% – German mortars in particular caused more Allied casualties than any other class of weapon.

Great friends, they often play each other at boot camps.
Rob @commodorerob is a great opponent and good fun to play against. But he will punish you if you mess up. I’ll stick with my DAK, but next time I’ll have a proper list. We just played everything we had, so in retrospect the lists weren’t very balanced, not an excuse, I did a few foolish moves and rushed in where I shouldn’t have. But it was fun and there was carnage….. 😀
So true, I could have wheeled out more stuff…lol it’s always good fun playing against Mick. I think the dice gods were in my favour, had you managed to achieve what you planned it would have been a different story.
