The Germans Launch An Assault This October For Flames Of War
September 27, 2018 by brennon
The Germans are getting a bunch of new reinforcements come October, focusing in on many ways for them to strike back against the Soviets in Flames Of War.
The first of the releases is this 15cm Nebelwerfer Battery which will be launching a whole bunch of rockets at the enemy in the hope of displacing them from their entrenched positions.
Whilst the rockets themselves weren't exactly very dangerous the sound they made and the scattered explosions would be enough to force people into running for cover.
Assault On Foot
Next up we have some models which come into the game on foot. Leading the way are the hardy Grenadier Platoons.
As well as coming with a range of regular weapons they are also hauling larger kit into position as well. Considering the large amount of armour being thrown around in Flames Of War most units are going to need some kind of anti-tank capability.
We follow that up with the Panzergrenadier Platoon here, slightly more experienced and, as you might imagine, designed to deal with tougher challenges.
When you want a problem definitively solved then you turn to the Assault Pioneer Platoon.
These fellows were focused in on getting the job done at close quarters. If you need an objective taken then these guys are the ones that rush into the breach with their sub-machine guns and flamethrowers.
Are you going to be snapping up any of these new kits from Battlefront for your games on the Eastern Front?

Very nice.
Great expansion packs to up gun standard formations an the rocket’s artillery is always good.
lol why would you need 6 Nebelwerfers? You’d need a dustbin lid as a blast template 😀
or approx 5 large FoW artillery templates laid side by side (judging by Battlefront’s business model that’s probably it – or maybe I’m just cynical)
I would expect better models, with all the CAD programs out there.
And here’s where Thud Gun’s got there inspiration from.
