Hagglethorn Hollow Kickstarter Now Live!
September 26, 2018 by brennon
Tabletop Troubadour is on Kickstarter right now charging towards their funding goal for the splendid terrain produced as part of the Hagglethorn Hollow range.
If you haven't already checked out our interview with Johnny Fraser Allen about the project you can do so below. He is one of the most passionate guys in the industry and you can tell how much love has gone into this world that he is bringing to Kickstarter.
Now, let's take a look at how the different pledges break down. You can buy a lot of the different terrain pieces separately, allowing you to choose the buildings that most appeal to you.
Each of the buildings, as you've hopefully seen and heard about in the video, comes either painted or unpainted and can be chopped and changed to suit your gaming needs.
All of the models have been sculpted so that they can played in as well. The design features large open spaces within the terrain sets as well as sloped walls to aid those who are reaching inside to pick up and move miniatures.
The designs here have been painted up here to fit into Johnny's world design but you could go with lighter walls and brighter blue tiles if you wanted to swap it into a different Fantasy world like World Of Warcraft.
I love the little bits of flavour text that have been included with each piece of terrain, building on already narratively driven pieces with even more care and attention.
All of these are really pushing me towards the idea of playing out a dragon attack on this particular village. You could see a massive drake swooping through the streets and the heroes having to chase it up into the old ruins before it burns everything to the ground.
Here is the massive pledge which includes everything too...
The campaign is quite expensive but you are paying for some incredibly well-crafted terrain that has been created using traditional methods.
If you're in the mood for some very bespoke terrain then this might be the campaign for you.
Let us know your thoughts below!

Pretty much what I figured they would need to charge. Hopefully, the STL files are much cheaper. Nice but not affordable for me.
Great looking pieces. I would say I had sticker shock, but after seeing the latest Dwarven Forge KS total it’s probably in line. I imagine the upcoming MBA harbour town KS will have a similar price point. I’ll keep watching this one and stashing nickels.
wow Harbor Town went up on the 20th without much fanfare. Yep, same price point https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1993417010/harbor-town
I like spending money and I knew where this would be coming out at but I think even for me this is too much for home hobby levels.
Amazing stuff goes without saying, maybe I will jump in on the STL files.
It is really beautiful stuff, and I love the flexibility. I genuinely hope it does really well, but I don’t have the cash for that at present or even the near future – not that I think it is badly priced for the size.
love the range of buildings.
