Salty Sea Rats Take To The High Seas From Macrocosm
September 26, 2018 by brennon
Macrocosm Miniatures is hitting the high seas with some more of their Old Salt models. Here we have their 28mm Ratmen; a huge crew that is on the way to start pilfering from pirate ships.
The collection features a bunch of swashbucklers with hand weapons, firearms and more.
There is a nice twist in the formula for these Ratmen as they don't look like the Skaven we're used to seeing and instead have a little bit more of a 'cute' look to them.
I say cute...they are probably more dangerous than anything. I like the idea of potentially painting up these crews in two different colours, and having them battle against each other with the two captain characters you see below.
With Orcs, Goblins, Dwarves, Halflings, C'thu Monsters and more all now sculpted for the Old Salt range you have quite the array to pick from.
Will you be taking a closer look at these?

Love new Macrocosm stuff, backed it.
Love it!
Very kewl!
I may be committing a sacrilege but I think I need some of these for when my ‘Blood and Plunder’ needs spicing up!
Or at the least, for when I need a break from strict historical pirates.
Again very kewl!
BTW I did get in on the Rat Pirates before the Kickstarter closed.
Very cool models, and their other models in the range also really charcterful
Yes they are!
I like the Ogers and the Drawf pirates from their existing line as well.
For some reason the Orks and Halflings don’t seem to speak to me.
I think I need some of these for when my ‘Blood and Plunder’ needs spicing up too!
