About the Project

I think I went through the typical youthful flirtation that everyone goes through with Warhammer. When my parents would take me to Cardiff as a child, I'd stare into the window of the Games Workshop and dream the dream. Alas, we weren't very flush with cash, and so it was never a dream that I could realise. I kept dipping my toe in the water as I got older, playing a variety of PC games set in universe which I loved. But having got into wargaming earlier this year, I decided that the time was good to start playing 40k. Because I only ever saw the universe from distance, my mind associates the game with the poster boys themselves, and I've decided to get myself an Ultramarine army. During the planning phase of putting together the army, I discovered that Warhammer 40k Conquest was to be a thing, and this seemed like a perfect way to start collecting. I have picked up a few copies of issue one to get my hands on a number of ETB primaris intercessors and a few of the paints I'll need. Then a visit to element games and I've stocked up on the rest. Here is my foray into 40k space marines...
