Combining two very hot properties, IDW has thrown Rick & Morty into the world of Dungeons & Dragons in a new series of four comic books. The first issue is available right now...

Rick & Morty Dungeons & Dragons First Cover - IDW

"When Morty needs to learn how to play D&D to keep up with the cool kids, his hard-drinking, old school-gaming, mad science-making grandpa is happy to teach him how to roll the dice, but neither of them is prepared for the saving throws they’re about to fail or the true quest yet to come. Strap on a +1 longsword and grab your 10-foot pole, because this is going to be a gaming gauntlet like no other!"

As a big fan of Rick & Morty and of course, a lover of Dungeons & Dragons, this seems like it could be a great way to delve into both worlds. It has been worked on by Jim Zub and Patrick Rothfuss, both awesome folks within the industry, so it has a good pedigree.

Whilst the digital versions are available right now there will be a paperback release next year if that is more your style. What's cool is that one of the alternative covers for the collection is actually Morty's character sheet.

Morty Character Sheet - IDW

Half-Orc Rogue is a very good choice of Race/Class combination as you get some good benefits from it! Now, all we need to see is Gale Force Nine creating a range of Rick & Morty miniatures in their various Dungeons & Dragons guises and we'll be sorted for a properly themed dungeon crawl.

Will you be checking this out?
