Creature Caster’s King Of Ruin Lays Waste To The Land
September 3, 2018 by brennon
Creature Caster has released another hulking brute of a daemon onto their webstore. Here we have the mighty King Of Ruin, the perfect centrepiece for a Fantasy or Sci-Fi army, or maybe just an epic challenge for a painter.
This guy is massive. Honestly, check out the scale comparison further down the page and you'll see just how insane this character is. It is packed with detail and looks like the perfect gift for the child of Nurgle who has everything.
This character stands at 14.3cm from base to the tops of those spikes, each of which has been sculpted lovingly in resin. It's nice to see some of the signifiers of his immense proportions across the model like the small skulls hanging from his belt.
I think the expression is perfect too, glowering down on all those around him as insignificant insects about to get stomped into a puddle of gore.
We mentioned scale, and here is a look at the sizes!
As mentioned above, the model has no overall leaning towards either Sci-Fi or Fantasy so you'd be able to use it between various games. Considering the large scale of some of the characters in Age Of Sigmar right now I could see this fellow being a great choice for someone playing as one of the Ruinous Powers.
What do you think of this behemoth?

It is a great sculpt, and before last January, would have been on the shopping list, now I probably prefer the GW mini. Nice as an alternative for those that don’t though
That is one huge nasty demon.
A great looking demon love the way the armour has deformed an broke up as the victim has morphed into the nurgle beast.
That is a heck of a sculpt. Lots of detail and character. Not for me though. I guess I’ve seen too many people die of cancer and that was the first thing I thought of as I looked at it. Probably why I don’t ever play my Imperial Fists against any Nurgle armies. As far as other minis over at Creature Caster, I just had a look around over there and see that the “Lord of Malice” is back in stock. That sculpt would fit the bill for a Demon Lord in my current D&D 5e campaign. I just may… Read more »
Creature Caster is one of my absolute fave companies! They just keep hitting it out of the park with every release.
I will definitely be adding this to my army of rot.
They’ve got a couple of other recent releases I need to catch up on too.
This is one company that is consistently putting out the kind of stuff I want.
A lot of their models are on my Christmas list!
