Z1 Design’s Kickstarter Populate Black Hallows With Townsfolk
August 31, 2018 by brennon
Z1 Design is now live on Kickstarter with their Black Hallows Townsfolk project. This is a range of 28/32mm miniatures for use in your role-playing and skirmish games covering a lot of the standard archetypes you'll need for the tabletop.
The collection is presented in metal/pewter and will offer up a vast array of different characters for this Fantasy/Historical town. I got a real Fable vibe from the character designs, all of which are packed with character.
One of the awesome things about this project is that they have some great additional options for folks. For example, you can snap up a Druid character from their Black Hallows range, Milisandia Moonwatcher.
You can actually see a painted example of her model below! Moonwatcher is just one of the upcoming heroes which will be arriving for the Black Hallows range which will become a game world of its very own in the near future.
The Farmer's Daughter has also been painted by Elias Alonso here too and shows off another of their vibrant Grimm Fairy Tale characters.
One of the other things that has come to mind after looking through this range is games and stories inspired by what we saw in the Solomon Kane game. I like the idea of tales which bridge the gap between a skirmish game and a role-playing game where your interactions with the characters might uncover important information.
Lastly, the team at Z1 Design are also producing a range of large-scale 75mm miniatures in resin for those who REALLY love their painting.
Make sure to check out their campaign in more detail over on the Kickstarter Page and tell us which is your favourite character.
We are very interested to see where Black Hallows goes next...

Those are some great looking miniatures.
Some nice useful miniatures for RPG there.
As usual with KS, already some complaining in comments section about the female anatomy. I find that mildly amusing… we are talking about inch high figures for use in a game… not a pinup calendar displayed in a place of work.
Nice figure’s love the big guy with the hammer.
I really like these. So tempted to go all out on these and get the “collectors/painters pledge”.
I really like the detail you can paint in when you get a 75mm mini.
The bard will be added as a free model to this pledge tomorrow and there may be one more free model later
It’s hammer time!
Very nice townsfolk
