Fight The Eternal War With Limbo Miniatures On Kickstarter
August 9, 2018 by brennon
Limbo Miniatures are on Kickstarter right now funding Limbo: Eternal War which sees a Demonic army battling against valiant Humans in a struggle for existence.
The game has you taking control of small skirmish bands of warriors from either side, all sculpted in exquisite detail. We have looked at a lot of their ideas over the past few weeks and it's great to see them finally becoming a reality.
The game is driven by an alternating activation system where you will move bands of warriors at a time and attack your foes, securing objectives and fighting out epic scenarios. Dice combat seems very simple and easy to understand with a quick and easy to learn way of attacking. The depth comes in the individual talents and skills of your units.
Another interesting mechanic that has been shown off is the Fate Pool which is a way for you to mitigate luck and manage your rolls as well as bid for the initiative at the start of each turn. I like that swing of fortune and how that plays out on the tabletop.
The collection features some stunning models as we've already discussed but it is worth checking out their work-in-progress rulebook and demo video to find out more about the game.
Will you be checking out this campaign?

The model’s are looking really good.
Those are some great looking models.
I’ve been watching this one closely as i’ve been waiting for someone to deliver a player vs player deluxe life style board game for awhile now. I was excited by many of the renders and some of the painted resins looked great,so i was a little disappointed to find out they will be in a mix of PVC AND ABS plastic in the core box. i will be surprised and very impressed if they can pull off those incredibly detailed renders with that medium. the only resins available are 75mm display pieces of some of the main characters. the rules… Read more »
Have you read all the updates? They have already shown the metal molds and the comparison of the PVC/ABS vs Resin models. They are a miniature company and have been making miniatures way before this game.
Also, how is not Arena Rex not similar to the type of pvp game you have been looking to acquire?
no, i haven’t had chance to keep up with all the updates. I’ll have a look over the weekend.
Arena Rex isn’t a board game, i’m looking for grid based movement. also too few pieces on the board for my personal tastes.
I pledged an early bird because I was so smitten by the miniatures. However, a continued lack of decent gameplay videos, and an almost complete absence of any background or world building to create a setting for the minis – I cancelled my pledge yesterday. I love the minis, and I hope the game succeeds, but I couldn’t maintain a pledge for minis alone.
