@tuffyears Hrm does sound like dirt cheap gaming goodness. And a nice excuse for some post apocalypse Mad Max style action 🙂 Like the mods. Heh, more is definitely better. IG look smashing! Congrats on getting them knocked over to that standard in such a short time frame. Ha! Yes you appear to be good for Tanks, especially given most large games only have 3 to 5 tanks aside if I recall correctly.
@sundancer too hot to paint is no fun – hope it didn’t torpedo your holiday plans… X-Wing however, is fun. Have only played a few games, got smashed every time but thoroughly enjoyed it. What other game allows you to make ‘pew pew’ and ‘whoosh’ noises when redeploying and activating gaming pieces? OK, probably quite a few if I stop to think about it…
@biggabum Ah your taunts of wonderful warm weather… I’m afraid to head out to the man-cave and turn over print jobs for fear I will snap-freeze. Meh, give it 4 months when the mercury is hitting 40 here for 10 days in a row and then remind me I said that 😛 yeah Looking forward to the sequel but haven’t finished your first book yet… I’m working through it slowly….
@woldenspoons I miss bits with sprays all the time. I’m usually super-keen to get it done quickly so I don’t inhale paint fumes and end up botching the rush job. I really need to move to an airbrush for priming and base coats at some stage… Please post progress pics and let us see how you are getting on 🙂
@mage yeah when I used to play on the tourney scene most people avoided overpowered and cheezy lists – it was pretty much a case of have fun at all costs – so never really saw anybody field one. My cheesiest unit was an aspiring champion with a great weapon on a steed of Slaanesh – so 3 strength 7 attacks from the rider (plus 2 str 4 poisoned form the mount IIRC?…) at the end of a 20″ charge range. Great for smashing chariots or knocking out unprotected warmachines/roaming casters. Yeah I did tinker with magic now and then, but an aspiring sorcerer with mark and a couple of scrolls ended up being more expensive than a unit of light cav, so I’d either try and fit in 2 level 2’s in the hope one of them could get some spells off, or just leave well alone and spend the points on more warm bodies. Flava Flav has a reality TV show? Colour me intrigued… Hope your little one has settled. Poor thing, if it’s hot overnight and they are waking up tired from a restless night then there isn’t much that can be done to keep little ones settled regrettably. Heh. the Sweet christmas call sort of gave away what you were watching 🙂 I like how Old Grogg has turned out. what did you use to get the wounds looking like that?
@torros a banner? Does this make us grown-ups? I sure hope not. I’m hoping if I keep my head down that nobody will notice I’m a barely functioning adult who just fakes his way through this being an adult business by making up whatever seems to work on the fly. Nobody seems to have caught on yet, which makes me hopeful I’m blending in OK. The other possibility, that everyone else is also too busy pretending to be an adult to notice my feeble attempts is just too confronting to contemplate. Anyhow, back to talk of toy soldiers and games of imagination…
@limburger will definitely check it out once I’m through end of financial year and have some surplus mental capacity.
@a27cromwell well you certainly are high maintenance 🙂 Classic comedy and classic tanks and you are all set – good to see 🙂
@commodorerob I am intrigued by Blood red Skies but can’t justify jumping in given my gaming circle already has X-wing to fill that niche. If we were doing an all-in WW2 campaign maybe… No, not going to start down that thought process… Too many other projects on the go presently as it is. Awesome! Enjoy Saturday 🙂
Still turning over print jobs for Kill Team Figure I will have enough for a building or 2 by the time the box arrives. Will try and remember to snap a photo next time I am changing print jobs.
