Three Old Dragons Arise From Their Warhammer Fantasy Battle Slumber
August 6, 2018 by brennon
Games Workshop has some more Made To Order miniatures landing this weekend. Three old dragons and their riders are going to be raising from their slumber and arriving from the Old World to take part in the battles of the Mortal Realms.
The first of the miniatures is Malekith here atop his Black Dragon which is ready to snap up all those that dare defy the Elf that would be King. Following on from him we have the distinctly less evil Prince Imrik on his White Dragon there.
All of these Dragons are very old school and VERY different from the large creatures that we have in Age Of Sigmar now. However, I think they have a wonderful charm to them and would be great for creatures dwelling in the darker corners of the Mortal Realms.
Last but not least we have the Sisters Of Twilight on their Green Dragon.
I love all of these creatures and it's nice to see them coming back to the fore once more. I cannot begin to imagine just how terrible these are going to be to try and glue BUT if you manage to get them built, they would be a joy to paint.
What do you think?

GW used to make the best stuff out there. These still stand the test of time. Glad they’re available again!
From those old GW dragons Black Dragon is my favorite one but others are still solid as well.
they still look good.
Just use pins an they go together real easy
These old-school dragons were so iconic – the artwork (which was already awesome) coming to life in 3D form. First white dwarf I ever bought had a High Elf vs Vampire Counts battle report and a feature on Imrik if I remember right. Fantastic models.
I forgot how derpy and anorectic the old dragons looked like. Of all the old GW models, those stood the test of time the worst probably, like so many Trish models.
Not a fan of these dragon models, the “recent” plastic Dark Elf and High Elf dragons were far more beautiful. And plastic. I assume that there is a huge demand for these 3 models, given they are up for order?
