More Victrix Armoured Vikings Prepare For Battle

Victrix has prepared another Armoured Viking for their upcoming plastic set and they showed off some of the various combinations open to you once you start delving into the entire kit.
I have always liked the Victrix kits for their Romans, Carthaginians and Greeks and it's great to see them turning their attention to the Dark Ages and the Vikings like this. The level of detail on the chainmail is superb and if the tight lines are kept when they hit the production phase they are going to paint up really easily.
Below you'll find a whole bunch of different variations on the armoured body above with a number of different heads, weapons and such.
I particularly like this one. I love the helmet design here and the howling expression on this Vikings face. Much like with the rest of the model I reckon that beard is going to paint up nicely too!
We finish off with this set of designs...
I may have to look towards jumping back into my SAGA with this kit. I think the design is superb and each model has a lot of momentum and purpose to it. Even if I didn't go with SAGA there's also Blood Eagle which focuses the action even more and would allow me to really get stuck into the painting of individual warriors.

I have Dwarves, I think of them as short Vikings.
Does this mean hobbits are dwarves on a diet plan?

Why do I suddenly need more Vikings?
Is it me or do they only have three different heads. I don’t mind the same looking bodies holding different weapons but having more head options would to give more variations to the models.
They’ll be a lot of different heads in the box to choose from. They’re previewing the designs one body at a time and then showing the options available. In the main Victrix models have a very large range of options on the sprues
