Adeptus Titanicus Unboxed At Forge World Open Day
July 17, 2018 by brennon
Games Workshop didn't just talk about Middle-earth during the Forge World Open Day. One of the other big 'Specialist Games' that got a good showing was Adeptus Titanicus which is probably set to draw in plenty of lovers of the old game.
The game is already landing in a range of different sizes and styles but the game will feature a lot of awesome miniatures for you to get stuck into. The core set not only features Warlords but also a selection of Imperial Knights which look tiny when compared to their mighty counterparts.
Sup3rSaiy3n on Youtube was able to grab a video of the unboxing of the game at the Forge World Open Day which you can see below...
It shows off the sprues and more of the contents from the box giving you an idea of the various options open to those who want to get stuck into playing Adeptus Titanicus.
Suddenly it becomes a much easier prospect for someone to be able to have a Warlord or Reaver Titan in their possession without having to remortgage a house or sell a child to do it.
Whilst I like the idea of clomping around as these massive Titans I actually really like the presentation of the regular Imperial Knights which you can see here.
As well as the models the Forge World team is also going to be creating a series of themed boards for you to play the game on. So, if you need to fully bling out your collection you are going to have options to do so.
I can't wait to see what the Adeptus Titanicus range expands into as the months push on. I can see this being just as successful as Shadespire, Necromunda and Blood Bowl...if not more so, thanks to the lure of it being Warhammer 40,000.
Are you going to be snapping up a copy of Adeptus Titanicus?

Does anyone know how similar the ruleset is to the original ruleset?
If they go the route of Space Marine then i might just get drawn in.
From memory it’s the same rules as the original AT I don’t think I would bother? Not that I was going to anyway. It was the release of Space Marine that made AT popular the first time round
With so many epic proxies and original models still floating about ,along with good fan development of the original rules I’m not trying to relaunch it in a new scale will work to be honest
I believe these are new rules; while there are no plans to have tanks and infantry, I believe they have said the rules have been designed so they could be expanded to accommodate them if the game was successful enough.
That looks awesome. I’m pretty sure this will be popular at the club.
Damn… next month my wallet will die…
Yours hasn’t died a thousand deaths already ?
Mine sure has.
This is a new one… The rest is buried deep under lead and plastic
One question, how much?
An arm, maybe a leg?
No, Soul Wars cost an arm and a leg, at least here in Canada…
If you need to ask then you can’t afford it 😉
Best guess would put it between 90-150 Euros
btw: volunteering to buy is mandatory.
Report any treason to your local Kommisar.
Looking very nice hoping the model’s will be as fantastic as they look
Definitely be getting this 😀 .Not at launch mind you,RL has laided claim to my wallet first. This’ll make a good xmas pressie to myself .
Played the original when it came out and still have my copy. Doubt i’ll get it but may pull out my old copy for another crazy titan battle
I really like how this is mini 40k with all the cool stuff you cant afford from Forgeworld for regular sized games!
I had Space Marine as a kid. Never played it properly though looking forward to a second crack at it!
Over all AT doesn’t look interesting to me.
The moment we get other vehicles than Titans I will get on board.
They’ve said on many occasions that they have (at present) no plans for an Epic reboot (who are they kidding). They have said that though this is a ‘Heresy Era’ game, if it goes well they will look at plastic Ork and Eldar Titans (I WANT a GARGANT – pretty please), and then the next step will be Epic (though they have BFG to release first in the Specialist Games reboot list).
Either way, release is in August, price is over £125 (I would guess between £140-150) – all will be revealed in next WD.
I would be interested in AT, but for me they would absolutely have to reboot Epic to go with it (it was probably the game I enjoyed far more than the original 40K). Building those Imperial Guard formations, space marine legions….all was good.
The 40K universe lends itself to the larger scale aspect very well, but playing “just” AT without all the other stuff seems like only 1/2 the game (you may as well save the expense and just get a couple of knights in 28mm and play that).
If you want a Gargant, that’s what plastic flower pots are for. ?
This looks fantastic. I do hope they produce a new range of highly-detailed marines to go with it. I know the emphasis of the game will be on the Titans, and that’s fair enough, but you need the small guys to really feel the majesty and scale.
This, 1000 times this.
It makes me happy to hear that the War Hounds have not been forgotten and they will have models coming soon. With rules already in the box. Even the Mini Box with I find interesting. A nice little nod to those that have some of the old Armageddon/Titanicus Models.
I am certainly tempted as I always wanted to have some Knights and this is a good opportunity to get a few. I prefer this scale to the 40k ones as well so if the price tag isn’t more ludicrous than usual I’m in ?
This would be my first significant GW purchase for quite a while..
Having seen the models crammed into a 4×4 it seems it’s lost all the scale from the original. The whole concept of maneuvering is lost when it is this cramped and appears it is just how can I line up my guns and blast you rather than any deep strategy. I really hope I am wrong and that there are deeper rule mechanics because the models look good. The joy of the original line of games in this scale was the wide vista of war where things were actually out of range and you had to flatten buildings to see… Read more »
