Thoroughly enjoyed that, was looking forward to part two 🙂
um dude that was part 2
And that right there is the turing test under way 😉
Yes, that’s why I said I was looking forward to it…
when you said “Thoroughly enjoyed that” implying that you had watched the video.
Cool, good interview.
You guys mentioned that Alessio is more focused on timed gameplay, but I’d have to add that Bolt Action is all about keeping you on your toes and making you concentrate on what’s happening at all times, because it could be your turn at any moment. I was sold on that by BoW, and I think it’s absolutely brilliant! I know you weren’t trying to be negative about it, I just thought it should be mentioned.
The timed gameplay comments were about the design brief for Kings of War and how that differs from God of Battles, rather than a comment about all of Alessio’s games.
Good interview! Incidentally Jake’s blog has become part of my daily reading.
And to bring the video up to date, Saturday March 1st at Foundry. Hope to see you there 🙂
So!? Will there be a part 3 to this interview!? 😉
Make sense when you listen to Jake and Alessio’s history, Jake coming more from the RPG side and into wargames and Alession from the tournament side – hence the chessclocks
Jake is a super smart guy and I can’t wait to see what he comes up with next!
Eternal Battles!
Is it available yet or still in the play test stage?
Not available yet though I’m under the impression the development core rules is well advanced.
I own most of the stuff Jake has done for Mantic and they’re some of my favourites!
