About the Project
While playing Shadows of Brimstone, we’d often wander too far from the lantern and suffer Sanity hits. An LED would make it easy to see which tile the lantern is on.

Coffee Stirrers & Tea Light
I cut all the excess plastic from the Tea Light, leaving the battery pack, switch and LED. Then I cut coffee stirrers and made panels, stuck with PVA. I didn’t use a ruler, I just measured the length against the LED gubbins.Boxing the Gubbins
I stuck the 4 sides together onto the plastic gubbins using PVA. Glorious Hole
Using a 5mm drill bit, I drilled a glorious hole in the lid.Lantern Bling
The LED bulb fits perfectly! Next I grabbed a Tamiya WW2 lamppost.Lantern Bling Prep
I cut the top from the lamppost.Gumming Up the Box
To make the crate more sturdy, I put some hot glue inside.Lantern Helmet!
Using hot glue, I stuck the helmet on.Painted!
A rough and ready paint job! Brush-primed black, then Vallejo Leather Brown. Dry brush light brown.
