Stormcast Eternal Sequitor by brushstroke

We've got some great stuff to kick things off from the talented brushstroke who has been getting into the Age Of Sigmar spirit with this Sequitor model that he painted up for a local painting competition.

I think that the painting here is awesome, really showing off what you can do with the new Stormcast Eternal models when you branch out from gold. The new models, with all of their robes and such, really do allow you to get to grips with a lot more.

They might not be quite as easy to paint as the traditional Stormcast from the first edition of the game but they are a nice step up for hobbyists. All of the work on the armour, the robes, the shield, and the way the weapon has come together screams out that this is a top-notch job.

I like the little touches to the highlight on the cloak at the back. The more 'over-the-top' look to the Stormcast Eternals has been shown off here, giving them an almost comic book hero/cartoony edge which is interesting.

The base work is also great, showing off what you can do with a sculpted base. The fallen leaves give you the sense that she is wandering through a long forgotten part of the Mortal Realms. A superb job from brushstroke.

DreamForge Leviathan by hearne

Next up, we're looking at this hulking walker converted up for use in Warhammer 40,000 by hearne.

This is one of the DreamForge Leviathans that has had a bit more tender love and care put into the design to make it useful for your games of Warhammer 40,000. I like the battered and bruised torso and the weathering that has gone into that. Even the cream/white skull has been done fantastically so it almost looks like an actual skull rather than just part of the machine.

Posed as if it is striding forward it does look a little odd, but I think with a model this scale you can be limited in the options. I personally think I would have had the guns down low and pointing off in different directions as if it was providing a bit of covering fire onto different targets.

Oh, and fantastic work on the expended cases from the massive cannon lying on the ground. I wonder if those are proper bullet cases? The additional work modifying this to turn it into a piece for the Inquisition to use has to be commended finally - talk about bringing a gun to a knife fight!

Harry Potter Students by volleyfireandy

Last but not least we're looking at the work from volleyfireandy. He has put together a wonderful project showing off how to paint the different uniforms from Knight Model's Harry Potter Miniatures Game.

This tutorial takes you through painting the different outfits which are pretty tough considering they're a mix of greys for the most part. I think the little touches here and there have done enough to separate them up into their various Houses as you can see above with Ravenclaw and the like.

You can see it more on the members of Slytherin House below with the tinge of green around the robes.

A lot of attention to detail has gone into the faces here too which I think it great to see. You can really pick out their expressions. Once again, a lot of highlighting and focusing attention on the robes takes these fellows up to the next level and makes them pop on the tabletop.

Make sure to go and give the project some attention as he has gone to a lot of effort to show off the preparation of the models and the painting of them too. I can't wait to see more!
