CMON’s Death May Die Heads To Kickstarter July 10th
July 3, 2018 by deltagamegirl22
Get ready to walk right up to Cthulhu and shoot him in the face! CMON's latest title from Eric Lang, Death May Die, is heading to Kickstarter on July 10th at 3pm EST.
After talking with Eric Lang at CMON Expo, we were IN - hook, line and sinker.
Sure there are a number of Cthulhu games out there, but not with the gaming genius of Mr Lang. But even if that weren't reason enough to catch your interest, the absolutely stunning miniatures should be!
CMON has done a great job of teasing with previews of the minis, leading up to the Kickstarter campaign, but today we're taking a look at the potential heroes (such as they are) for this Lovecraftian tale.
The investigators are every bit as odd as the Old Ones themselves, maybe even more so in that they are human, and essentially the "good guys" but they come with their own baggage that will undoubtedly make the game very interesting.
Eric told tales of the neurotic tendencies of some of the characters - like playing with fire. As the madness of Cthulhu takes its toll in the game, the investigators will behave differently. Those quiet folks may suddenly become very brave and LOUD, those heroic folks may find themselves cowering in a corner.
But at the end of the day, it's a cooperative game, so the choices the players make and the order they do them can literally make or break your games.
Are you looking forward to Death May Die?

Am I just not allowed to keep any of my money anymore?
You are only allowed to keep it until the next kickstarter …
Didn’t you read the terms of contract when joining BoW/OTT as a member ?
😉 😉
I like what I’ve learned so far about this game. I will certainly give it a look when it hits kickstarter.
Not so impressed by the heroes… most of them are not lovecraftian at all imho. Will keep and eye on it but i fear Cmon will end doing a parody of Lovecraft novels and i hope it doesnt end being a “Kill Cthulhu and his hordes”.
is that john steed with the gun.? nice figures
To be honest, I don’t know if anyone else here has deep dived into Lovecraftian literature for several years, but at the end of it, the last thing you would want to design is a “reverential” take on the source material. And I think that would be the last thing Lovecraft himself would have wanted either. Hope it’s a big minis haul, would consider it just for having all the Lovecraft in miniature form. You never know when that’ll come in handy.
