Has this happened to anyone else?

My profile PIC has reverted to the default image and the photo I had seems to have been deleted from the upload section

    ??

Yeah – just logged in and it’s happened to me, how odd…

I must be special too then because it happened to me as well .  I clicked on to catch up on a couple of threads and noticed my avatar was replaced , oh bugger says I , they got a few bugs in the system . And then not five minutes later , my lovely Cromwell tank is back . A big thank you to  who evers working away there in the computer room on a Sunday night . Hmm , I spoke too soon, it reverted back to the squiggly bug thing again .  I’m sure it will revert back again soon enough , the bug thing is starting to grow on me , I might keep it

For me it seems to swap depending on which page I’m viewing

Yeah, mine’s displaying as the default image on the front page, yet if I go into my profile to edit it the correct pics are showing.

Side question @timchubb , are the default images procedurally generated or are there just enough of them I’ve never seen two people with the same one in the same thread?

@cazboab they are just gravatar monster icons used as default images, gravatar generates the image based on the md5 hash of your email address, according to their docs the colours, facial features and body types are all calculated by your email address hash…

So yeah to answer the question they are procedurally generated.
