Burrows and Badgers: A Furry Tail
Completed Hare
Finally finished my Hare. A pretty easy and basic model to paint. But still a joy. I wasn’t quite sure if I wanted to go for the whole painted armour look so instead I opted to paint one oh his shoulder with a coat of arms. So I started looking for something that meant something to me and was fairly easy to paint and would fit somewhere on the model. So I started looking for coats of arms from around where I live and since I’m from north Bedfordshire I found the coat of arms for north Bedfordshire which fitted perfectly on his right shoulder. Nothing too fancy but enough to add something different to him and to make him stand out a little.
My back story for him is that he’s a veteran of many years and battles. Someone who loves fighting and goes where he feels needed but is still proud and honoured of his home and makes an effort to maintain the coat of arms on his shoulder for all to see.
I’ve seen a few cool takes on this awesome model, but I love the addition of the heraldry and narrative you have here.
Thanks. It’s a nice model but it’s a very basic model so I wanted to add a little something to make it my own. I think it’s worked, just enough to make it stand out, without it being too in your face and fits with the rest of my B&B collection
