About the Project
This is a project I've wanted to start for a while and the recent terrain challenge(The End Is Nigh) just helped push me over the edge to get it started. I'm currently running a This Is Not a Test/DnD campaign with several friends. It uses the base mechanics of TnT but with a character sheet using DnD style layout. After watching a lot of reference material(binge movie watching) I made a Post-Apocalyptic table. But I wanted to do a flooded harbor/water-world table as well. The center piece will be a 4'x 18"x 10" Tanker ship, on an 6'x 4' ocean mat. The plan is to have it carved from foam to have a full top deck and at least two interior levels for game play. There will be several other boats on the board to allow passage from ruins that will be located on the table edges.

Getting supplies for the project.
Not to much got done this weekend. But I did make several purchases to further the project along.
A Metal Tile kit from wargamers vault (Dave Graffam) that will be used to tile the cargo bay floor.
Several sheets of polystyrene that will be used as the hull and walls of the Tanker ship.
I’m also looking into a foam cutter so I can more easily smooth out the sides prior to adding the walls and floors.
Construction begins by tracing out the dimensions.
The interior cargo bay will end up being 32" x 12" Reference plans
Using this image I found on google and a little conversion of scale I hope to have a nice blueprint I can follow and adjust as needed.The beginning
Picked up some foam to begin the project. 2" thick 8' x 4' should give plenty of material to work with.
