Hi All

So today the engines of 2.0 have started to refire now we have deployed the latest installment in the massive infinity summer campaigns: https://kuragecrisis.warconsole.com/ and it’s running quite sweetly so far too.

So here is what’s happening in the engine room at the moment.

1) Performance and Server Architecture: @nakchak is working his magic to find the scaling issues we have been seeing and has reconfigured our server cluster and added some more grunt while finessing code and settings to speed things up and remove the bottlenecks that are causing slowdowns.

2) We added a fix to the home page and sidebar to pull the very latest forum topics that had activity on them to the top.

3) We should hopefully see the first of the newsletters deploy today (Historical Gamer Weekly is due at 5pm BST) and if it goes smoothly all newsletters will start pinging their way out the door over the coming days.

4) @tgu3 Has run the first of the reconnection scripts which has linked posts to their appropriate games. Over time we will spot if there are any remaining holes and fill them.

5) Tom is also now working on places to tweak a couple of things and let you guys update any places you may have already added.

6) @lloyd is working away on some cool design updates which will bring functionality from projects, places and ratings etc to the home page and the sidebar, giving the long-promised boost in visibility for these areas.

7) Work will now start to turn to @commodorerob and the other folk who volunteered to be curators to get their systems in place and tested etc so we can start to unlock the ability for backstagers to start adding games, ranges and professionals etc to the platform.
