Hobby Hangout Livestream [Catch Up Now!]
June 27, 2018 by lancorz
We know the website is running a little slow today but we're going to do our best to work through Hobby Hangout to see what you've been up to this week.
Remember we also have the new Hobby Lab Open Challenge ready to see what you lot are capable of for "The End is Nigh" theme. There's 4x £50 4Ground vouchers to win so get cracking!
What have you been up to this week?
A little slow? Its not even there most of the time. I’m looking forward to the hobby stream so I hope the issues clear up by then. Any news on what the issues are or if you hope to have them resolved? It took me 6 hours yesterday to update my project. I’m glad I’m not the guy trying to fix it though.
Tim is working to try and sort it all out – it should be a lot quicker for folks now. I don’t know the ins and outs of it but it should be working for folks now.
I’m glad to hear it can be fixed and isn’t just too much load from the new site and new campaign and just the way things will be for a while. Thanks for the update, and good luck Tim!
Speaking of running slow — I updated a project and it stalled, tried again and it worked. However now there are two of the same entry. I can’t find an option to delete an entry to remove the duplicate, is there a way to do this and I’m just blind?
I had that issue too yesterday. I just purged everything from inside it and left a note that its a duplicate. I’m hoping in the future they add an option to delete entries and insert new ones between previous entries.
Not a bad option for now though, I’ll do that. Cheers
Missed it live today but good to get a little dose of BoW on catch up. Hehe a life of traffic managers/load balancers, Cloudflare/CDN caching and web performance sounds like you are in my world.
You missed huge latency caused by a misconfigured DNS…. other than that spot on 😀
Do we need to write a business case for the migration to AWS? 😀
Lol no would help if I rtfmd the split brain rules…
Painting Kingdom Death miniatures in very low light black and white would be different to painting Blood Red Sky miniatures in a 1950’s war film black and white. Essentially some colours look darker at night than others. Here’s a link to a theory tutorial explaining why: http://massivevoodoo.blogspot.com/2015/03/theory-thursday-3-all-cats-are-grey-at.html .
Thanks for the kind words guys. Yes, it’s true that picking a Retributor as my model to learn NMM was… ambitious 😀 I’m close to the point where I’ll call the model finished and treat it as my benchmark to measure quality / speed improvement on subsequent models.
nice one guys lovin the new projects.
Only just caught up with this. Was great to see my project featured, thanks for all the positive comments.
