Grenzer Games Preview 15mm Plastic Roman Miniatures

Grenzer Games has been showing off some of their new 15mm Plastic Imperial Romans for their game, At Lances Point.
Better images of these new miniatures are on the way, but this gives you a taster of the awesome Imperial Romans they have been working on.
There appears to be a LOT of detail worked into these miniatures with plenty of effort going into the armour, weapons, accessories and even the facial features. Just take a peek at that awesome standard on the right-hand side!
At Lances Point is a card driven game which works with forces from the Ancient period right through to the Modern Day and these miniatures are built to support that.
I am looking forward to seeing some more of these miniatures in better detail with plenty of paint on them. I hadn't actually heard of Grenzer Games before writing this piece, but now they have caught my attention. I like the idea of card-based mechanics too so I look forward to learning more about it.
Army Lists have also been added to their website already for a big range of Ancient armies so give this one a look.

I saw these a few weeks ago. Be interesting to see what the quality of the final minis are like as they say they have been having a few teething problems with the shield detail
Those look very good indeed.
It looks like this could be a big step up in quality for 15mm in terms of being able to get better proportions onto the minis, particularly for spears. Not sure it will be enough to shift me from 28mm plastics but smaller scale makes for larger units and a better feel on the table. I’m intrigued.
It will be interesting to see how well they sell when competing in what’s an already glutted market in 15mm ancients

Yeah, because what the world needs is another range of 15mm Early Imperial Romans. There must be 20 companies already doing this army in 15mm, and some of them are extremely good. Starting with something more imaginative might have been a god idea. For example, ‘Medievals’.
