First games
In spite of hoping to only play with painted figures, the lure of adventure was great and the first few games of Dungeon Saga were gotten underway.
Began with the Quick start intro adventures and then a stab at the first mission proper. In a word this game is “Brutal”….
Afterwards we separately had our own opinions on the game and how it went but enjoyed it nonetheless.
TOP TIP:- The adventurers need to play rather aggressively to accomplish the mission goals.
Definitely going to carry on adventuring…..and getting the models painted up.

But I approve of your resolve to get it painted. With Massive Darkness I started with the heroes, then did the core box, then painted one expansion box at a time. This helps avoid fatigue and gives a sense of achievement when each milestone is reached.

Yeah I spotted the upside down thing and nothing I do fixes it. The photos are the correct way up on all my other devices that have access to the original files….weird.
I do recommend the game. It has a clean and slick feel and there is lots of expansion and replay ability with all the expansion sets and the Adventure Journal for creating your own characters and adventures.
Sometimes you just have to have a good dungeon crawl. They do look like nice tiles.
