Is there a notification planned when someone leaves a comment under one’s own Project posts? This would be helpful so as to not regularly check all of one’s posts to find if someone has gone to the effort of commenting and might feel being ignored.

I believe it is, Tim has been working on the notifications for the forum threads I know that.

@subedai @avernos I believe this already exists, when you go into a project entry you can click the subscribe link where the comments would go and opt to receive all notifications of comments on that entry.

For obvious reasons we cant really make that automatic 🙂

in that case I have bad news Warren, because I’ve not gotten any notifications for Jim’s Darkstar project and it’s had many updates

We are talking about subscribing to comments folks put on YOUR OWN projects yes?

Getting notifications of updates by others on their projects using the FOLLOW button isn’t in place yet.

But you should be able to subscribe to the comments on individual entries using the subscribe button down where the comments section is.

Are we talking about the same thing?

Thanks @warzan, that is what I meant, notifications for comments on your own projects. I have toggled them on now. Would it be better to make this function more clear and add it as an option before publishing a post?

Also looking forward to the notifications for followed projects being enabled. Really liking the projects functionality, I can see myself making more use of it as a reader compared to the old style forums, I much prefer such blogging style subscriptions.

Hefty update to notifications coming soon, just have a few other behind scenes stuff to take care of before we move back onto front of house stuff.
