Up next for painting is this amazing little Weasel with a crossbow. I’ve not decided colours yets but it won’t take long for me to figure that out.

I like to start with a grey primer for B&B mini’s because starting with grey means I can either go with lighter or darker colours without causing any painting issues such as trying to paint light colours such as yellows and whites over a black primer.

So here I have painted the fur. I’ve added a reference image for the kind of colour and style I wanted to aim for. I’ve tried to copy the paws by going for that creamy white colour, I’m not too sure if I like it or not, but it might be something that looks better once the whole thing has been completed, what do you guys think?

I’ll add the steps on how I have painted this guys fur, it’s exactly the same as I have done for my foxes. All paints are from the citadel paint range.

Fox Fur:

Base layer: Rhinox Hide

Layer: DoomBull Brown

Dry brush: squig orange

Wash: seraphin sepia

Dry brush: squig orange

Dry brush: Cadian flesh tone

Dry brush: Kislev flesh

White fur:

Base layer: Rakarth Flesh

Wash: Agrax earthshade

Dry or Highlight: Rakarth Flesh

Dry or Highlight: Pallid Wych flesh

(The Dry or Highlight part just depends on the texture of the model, like if it is the tail you’re best off dry brushing it, but if the surface is flat and smooth you could simply highlight it)
