Evil Gets Downsized to 10mm Scale on IndieGoGo
January 14, 2014 by dracs
There can be no doubt that 28mm scale games are the main ones on the market at the moments. But what of 10mm? What of those who long for the days of Warmaster? If you're one of these gamers, you might like to check out the new Evil Men 10mm IndieGoGo project.
Being run by Yann Hoarau, one of the sculptors behind Fenris Games' recent selection of Lovecraftian models for the Cthulhu Wars board game, this IndieGoGo campaign seeks to bring out a whole range of Evil Men in 10mm scale.
The miniatures themselves are by no means groundbreaking, ranging from the quite nice in the case of the Knights and trolls to the downright naff with some of the warriors. Admittedly, I have not got that much experience with 10mm scale so I am not much of a judge of quality in this case.
Still, I think it is good to see a creator willing to chance their arm with a scale that is currently outside of the gaming mainstream. Maybe it will find a place with the fans of Games Workshop's old classic game of epic fantasy battles Warmaster.
Are these miniatures enough to tempt you to chip in on IndieGoGo?
I’m guessing you can’t buy “warmaster” anymore. Any idea what orther current rules would use 10 mm fantasy?
Kings of War could be a good start. Just change movement in inches to movement in cenitmetres and get a smaller table – or keep the big table and fight a huuuuge battle.
The Warmaster rules are available for free on the GW-site.

But not in all countries – in the german version they are.
