The Walking Dead - A tale of boot camps and laughter
Terrain
I was never going to be able to replicate the beautiful tables we played on at the boot camp. So I decided to make what little I had as great as I could.
I found a couple of coaches in the local pound land that I was happy with scale wise. I hit one with a claw hammer a few times, sprayed it with model mates rusty red and some black paint to show the evidence of a fire at some point. The other coach got less brutal treatment.
I found some pound shop motor bikes that I thought would make an adequate barrier if parked up as a 3, rather than just being scatter terrain for show.
I made some simple pallets out of coffee stirrers.
I already had some trees that I created using the BoW Hobby Lab garden wire and coconut brush fronds technique.
The cars that came in the set are brilliant in my opinion. Great fun to paint up and distress.
This has been adequate to enjoy some great games.
I got a real bargain from Warlord Games. A 4 x 3 post apocalyptic vinyl battle mat heavily reduced. Only played one game so far but it looked really good.
