Forge World’s Alpharius Takes Command Of The Alpha Legion

Forge World is adding more traitors to your collection with the full release of Primarch Alpharius of the Alpha Legion (or is it?) this week on their webstore. Check out the mighty warrior, stabbing one of his foes in the back...
We saw this model in the run-up to Warhammer Fest a couple of weeks ago and it is, once again, a stunning piece showing off just how impressive Forge World can make these ancient warriors from the grimdark.
He has a real presence and danger to his pose, and the fact that he is finishing off a downed Space Wolf tells you all you need to know about his character. Amazing work on the armour plating and the big scenic base too.
Some folks are going to have a lot of fun painting him up. I like that he still wears his helmet as well, something we've not seen with the other Primarches, leading you into the mysterious backstory and world of Alpharius as a character.
Bodyguard At The Ready
Alpharius wouldn't go into battle alone however and he now has a set of Lernaean Terminators to back him up.
Clad in heavy armour and wielding deadly weapons for close quarters combat they are the perfect aid for their Primarch. The addition of all the extra draconic detailing and such is great to see and with a good application of wash, these models would pop.

Just the one? Are they not following up with an Omegon? Or is he the little fella in the second pic?
Nah the little guy is Alpharius, the big guy is the first marine FW have made that isn’t Alpharius; it’s actually a Jokero in a mech suit.

Can’t you see it’s Omegon??? The fact that BoW and FW call him Alpharius is Alpha Legion’s manipulation.
Alpharius looks stunning. Other Alpha Legion guys are also really good.

He’s obliviously one of the kinder Primarchs, taking time out of his duties to use his big back scratcher on passing Marines with itches they cant quite reach.
Alpharius is one of the better Primarch models for me. As a whole they have a really nice range.
