Wild West Exodus: Army Building
June 18, 2018 by dignity
Darren and Stu from Warcradle Studios tell us how to build up an army or force in their fast-paced tabletop miniature game Wild West Exodus.
With eight different factions and as many unit types, it can be overwhelming figuring out where to begin building your first army. Let the guys from Warcradle take you through step-by-step how to start gathering together your fighting force.
Have you tried Darren's Avengers strategy yet?
I like the WWX Boss/Posse-based approach to force building. It’s just a little annoying that I need to buy a whole No Surrender Posse set to get the Alfred Woodhouse I’m missing when I have all the others in that set (and I’ve got a fair bit of WWX stuff, so that’s nopt the only posse box I’ll have the issue with!). That said, having everything in one box is a much better way for new players to get started than individual blisters so I won’t complain too much!
why do I want to shout REGULATORS for some reason.
The initial explanation was a bit confusing, but by the end, I could see how it was intended to work and looks like quite a cool system for allowing experimentation with list building, but still giving some nice guidelines depending on what you are trying to achieve.
Apologies in advance of a newb question. Are the PDF’s the only way to obtain faction stat cards ? ( Other than the 18 contained in the Red Oak Starter set ).I’d much rather have stat cards that are ‘ professionally ‘ done rather than home printed by me,as they ( the home produced version ) will inevitably suffer too much wear and tear and degrade far quicker than those produced by Warcradle.
At the moment, the PDFs are the ony way of getting teh most up-to-date cards. There was talk of getting a card pack released at some point, but that seems to have shifted to a 6-monthly-ish update cycle.
You can take the PDFs to a print shop and get cards professionally printed that way. That might be better than home printing.
Cheers for that @theamazingmrg , i had no idea print shops would ( or could ) do that, i’ll definitely look into it.
Although, if anyone from Warcradle reads this, i’d absolutely purchase Faction decks you produced 😀 .
Well I’m a silly billy. (stronger terms were used but this is a family website) I am a regular visitor to the WWX website and was unaware the cards for possie building were there… I knew about the unit cards but not the ppossie one. I know what I am going to do now … thanks for the video lads
