Oakenshield & Galadriel Take Shape From Knight Models
December 31, 2013 by brennon
Knight Models have added a bust of Thorin Oakenshield and Galadriel in 35mm to their store and given them a lick of paint as well. See what you think of these new Middle-Earth models.
The Galadriel model is looking as good as before and I think they have done pretty darn well on the paint job too. While Thorin is also good looking I would have loved to see him as a model rather than as a bust. Shame really, but I assume a 35mm figure is on the way soon enough.
I hope that we're going to be seeing one or two models for The Hobbit coming out every month from now on, but there is also the Batman game to consider too.
Keep it up Knight Models!

Sublime ! I want one ! 🙂
A fabulous Thorin bust – and beautifully painted.
As for Lady Galadriel… aah… 🙂
Amazing, best Galadriel sculpt I have seen. Still fails to capture Cate Blanchett’s unique beauty – but that maybe more of a me issue that a sculpting failing
I think it may be also a matter of the actress has a copy right on her image as well. So slight changes are added to pass the sniff test.
I don’t think so. Besides, it does not pass any “sniff test”. There is no such thing, and everyone is clear as to who this is. Knight Models has a license to exploit the images of the characters from the films, which means the actor’s heads.
Actors do NOT have exclusive rights to their images when not linked to the endorsement of something (and this is not the case here).
If you look at the sculpt, you’ll see that the face is EXACTLY like Ms. Blanchett’s. It’s a painting/photo angle issue.
Please, let’s refrain to AGAIN be all judicial.
