Forged In Battle Arm The US & Soviets With New 15mm Vehicles
May 29, 2018 by brennon
The Forged In Battle team has a few new releases for this month which will help you build up your 15mm World War II forces on the tabletop. The main focus is on both the US and Soviet forces, and we'll start with the Americans!
The first of these is the T19 sp 105mm Field Howitzer which was seen mostly in the theatre of North Africa but would have moved up into the battle for Italy and the Mediterranean as the war progressed.
We then move onto the M15 CGMC 37mm 50cal sp AA which once again proved to be valuable in keeping the enemy aircraft at bay. Mounted atop these half-tracks they were also able to get to positions where they were needed easily.
We then move onto the Soviets to see what they have been able to get their hands on!
Russian Reinforcements
We kick things off with a vehicle that was more suited to dealing with ground-based threats than those in the sky. Here is the LT48 (Su-57) Tank Destroyer M3 Halftrack.
As you can see it did come to life with the help of the other Allied nations but shows the ingenuity that had to come out of the different nations. They were scrambling to find new ways to defeat the enemy and counter the threat that the German armour posed.
Last but not least we have the McA1 Scout Car Lend Lease here which would have been good for reconnaissance across the battlefield. It could also help nearby troops with that mounted machine gun.
To be honest, I don't think I'd want to go anywhere in World War II without a gun mounted somewhere on my vehicle!
What do you think of the newest releases from Forged In Battle?
