Very attractive minis with the benefit of being able to play straight away if you want to, and I really like the idea of a game that develops and grows the backstory in a chronological order, just like the actual passage of time. Great interview. My only concern was there was no mention of DUST:Warfare. There is still confusion in the community between Warfare and Tactics. I do not play the board game, I play the table top miniatures game.
I hope in the future you include coverage, and information for the Warfare player too.

Looks really interesting…So for a new player (who wants to get others involved too) – is the Dust Tactics core boxed set worthwhile or should I wait for starter sets and get mates to buy their own starters? Are the rulebooks the same? Do you get any extras by buying either? Are the starter units better in either? etc.
Or both ? (sensation of wallet beginning to singe)….

@draugadan I am a Warfare player too, but I also enjoy Tactics. The “two games in one” aspect of Dust miniatures is one of its great selling points. You are right that this also creates some confusion among players (especially newbies). For this interview, I assume the topic was restricted to Tactics because of legal reasons. Fantasy Fight Games still retains the rights to the Dust Warfare. (Although if you follow the conversations on the forum at http://www.dust-tactics.com, the consensus is that Battlefront Miniatures will eventually have the rights to both properties). @monkeyreado During the transition between Fantasy Flight Games and Battlefront Miniatures, new players will have a choice of entry points to Dust Tactics: Fantasy Flight produced the Revised Core Set which contains everything two players need to get started. It includes 1 light walker, 1 hero, and 3 infantry units for the Allies and 1 light walker, 1 hero, and 3 infantry units for the Axis – all with statistics cards. Dust is a great game. I cannot wait to see more coverage – particularly of Warfare.

And any sneak peaks of the desert models, Japanese, etc. would be GREAT.
