Atlantis Miniatures Prepare Us For An Ogre Invasion
May 26, 2018 by brennon
Atlantis Miniatures has a special Kickstarter on the way for fans of Monsters. They've done Giants, Dwarves and much more...and now they turn their hand to Ogres!
The range of hulking warriors would be good for those looking to field a range of monsters in their role-playing games like Dungeons & Dragons. Or, maybe you just want some cool new models to paint where you have to think a LOT about skintone choices.
I still think, despite how Ogres looked in Warhammer Fantasy, I'd paint them with a bluish tinge to the skin, or maybe entirely blue, just to make them feel more in line with the High Fantasy image of them we sometimes see in artwork.
I like the idea of tying them into the elements in some way. They are very primal looking creatures and so you could imagine their Shamans and such working in line with nature, or taking it under their control at the very least.
What do you think of the model renders so far?

I have some of their trolls and they’re really nice.
One of my favorite ranges for monster miniatures.
Ooh they look fantastic.
I’ve never heard of this team, and holy crap these are good. I’m glad they aren’t overly cartoonish like another companies. Really blown away by these.
These are amazing. Their dwarf range is outstanding as well.
I liked the Warhammer FB ogres, but they´re quite flat compared to the ones shown above.
The Warhammogres were nice to paint, but these up here are even more of a pleasure to bring to life, I believe.
This kickstarter really deserves to be a huge success.
a fine studio with a very distinct look. heroic almost WoW proportions but at the same time incredibly realistic. the detail and expressiveness in the faces is as good as it gets.
These look great! They have to be some of the best Ogres I’ve ever seen.
