Royal Scots Greys in 15mm by Bothi - WW2 Edition

As I received 10 Grant tanks on the Bootcamp these were the first to be painted for this army. I wanted 15 Grants in total, but for now I only had 10. They turned out like this.

Here is a step by step how the paint job is achieved.

1. Priming in Skeleton Bone (with a rattle can)
2. Drybrushing the entire model with white
3. Painting camo patches with GW Caliban Green
4. First line around the camo patches with black
5. Second line around the first line with white
6. Drybrushing camo patches with a mix of GW Caliban Green and Skeleton Bone
7. Working out details like axe shafts or cables or uniforms
8. A simple highlight on those same details
9. Blackening of the gun barrels with a light drybrush with black
10. Blackening of the tracks and outer wheels
11. Applying decals (the 2 is for 2nd Dragoons “Royal Scots Greys”)
12. First weathering: GW Armageddon Dust on the tracks, mud guards, front and back
13. Dipping: I use Army Painter Quick Shade Dark Tone (solvent based, not water based) and thin it down with in a 1:3 ratio with paint thinner. Then I apply it with a brush. This gives all the shading on the models.
14. Matt coating: Army Painter Anti Shine from the rattle can
15. 2nd weathering: Model Mates Mud Brown on the tracks, mud guards, front, back and underside. Model Mates Oily Brown on the back. Model Mades Rub Black on the Gun Barrels
