Check Out Superhero Noir RPG City Of Mist
May 11, 2018 by brennon
Modiphius has just added a New RPG to their webstore, City Of Mist. This role-playing game sets up in a world of Noir Detective investigations where folks have access to legendary powers.
"Take the role of gritty detectives and unscrupulous city folk wielding mythical powers in this award-winning tabletop role-playing game. Investigate crimes committed by modern-day legends as you struggle to balance the legend inside you with your everyday life."
This certainly caught my eye when I started to see more popping up on this game today. I was immediately grabbed by the artwork and the idea of a world which brings together that Noir feeling as well as elements from World of Darkness and Shadowrun.
"Tell evocative and cinematic tales using City of Mist RPG's new game system. Invoke your characters' unique descriptive Tags to trigger story-propelling Moves. Make sacrifices that change the very nature of your character to unleash incredible powers. It's all in a day's work for your hard-boiled comic-book character..."
This sounds awesome, especially as a fan of Dresden Files of course! You can learn more about this cinematic role-playing world over on the City Of Mist website.
As well as the Core Book that you see above Modiphius added some additional bits and bobs to their webstore including some Location Maps...
...and the Playbook for a character in the game, Lilly Chow & Iron Hans. This is a pre-generated playbook to get you started in the game.
You'll also find all manner of additional resources for you to get stuck into over in the Downloads section of the City Of Mist website.
Has this caught your eye?

Love the art as well as the setting.
Nice to see Modipheus stocking it now. Wanted to get CoM for quiet some time but couldnt get my hands on it other than through ordering it from the U.S., which with customs and stuff always means hustle.
PDF only at the moment. A bummer.
$30 for thePDF. Ouch!
superb!!!
