Pandasaurus Games has announced that their upcoming game, Nyctophobia, is getting itself a spin-off which will be available in Target stores with a Vampire theme.

Nyctophobia Vampire Encounter

Vampire Encounter replaces the axe-wielding maniac with a bloodthirsty vampire who is chasing you through the woods as you try and rescue your friend, the familiar. The big selling point of this game for three to five players is that all but one of the players are completely 'blind', stumbling around in the darkness and having to navigate the game's pathways by touch and memory alone.

Nyctophobia (Game)

The original game has grown a lot in looks since we last saw it and in the base game, you also get the choice of playing as the Mage if you're the hunter too now. All of the survivors will be trying to find their way to the escape car and moving through the woods.

The Axe Murderer is a very direct enemy, chasing you down and chopping his way through the woods to find you. The Mage is slightly different and adds another level of mental trickery to the game, moving the forest around and disorientating your hapless victims.

This sounds like a game well worth trying out when you're at a convention.

What do you think?
