IDW Games Tease Batman: The Animated Series Tabletop Game

IDW Games took to Twitter recently to show off this teaser of some miniatures for their upcoming Batman: The Animated Series tabletop game.
The miniatures here show off Batgirl, Catwoman, Batman, Robin plus Commissioner Gordon and one would assume Renée Montoya from The Animated Series.
There has been no word yet on how this game might look or indeed how it'll play but it came with the tagline "This summer, Gotham is under siege...". Ominous. I would assume that they're doing to be doing a miniatures-based board game.
You really have got a lot of different avenues to explore now if you're a Batman fan. Monolith have Batman: Gotham City Chronicles, Knight Models have the Miniatures Game and of course, there are a plethora of other games out there from IDW Games and more.

To be fair, like 50% of the books DC produces are Batman ones, so it’s only fair he gets a proportional share of minis games to match. XP
Kevin Conroy is Batman and Mark Hamill is the Joker. There are no others.

Thirded. If Mark Hamil were to play the Joker in live action he’d blow all previous ones out of the water. Shame that’ll never happen, closest we’ll get is his appearances as the Trickster on The Flash.

I do question do we need another Batman themed tabletop game. After all there is so much DC universe that hasn’t been explored and that includes on tabletop beyond what WK has done with they HeroClix.
The animated series is my favorite version of Batman. I’ll definitely pick this up. I had been hoping/waiting for KM to get their versions into the new one piece resin. I avoided the other Batman game as I don’t really need a giant KS only mega game when all I want is a few themed animated series figures.
How many people have the license to Batman miniatures now? LOL
But will it be a better purchase than the Batman the Animated Series Heroclix set coming out this summer?
