The Akhelian Leviadon Emerges From Etheric Seas For Age Of Sigmar
April 30, 2018 by brennon
The Idoneth Deepkin of Age Of Sigmar is getting some heavy support this coming weekend from Games Workshop as they welcome the Akhelian Leviadon to their ranks. This hulking beast glides gracefully on the Etheric Seas as its mounted crew beat their war drum.
As well as being a hulking beast in its own right, with weapons bristling from its back and a pair of snapping jaws at its disposal, this monster also works as a focal point for your army thanks to its Void Drum. It helps provide cover to all those Idoneth Deepkin units with twelve inches of it, shrouding their approach.
This makes the Akhelian Leviadon a key target for your enemy to centre his or her attention on, allowing you to advance your forces unhindered.
Warhammer Legends
The first wave of Warhammer Legends, from the Made To Order scheme, are going to be available too. The focus this time is on Dark Elves from Warhammer Fantasy Battles that you could use in your Daughters Of Khaine force. The range includes one of my favourite models...
Lokhir Fellheart is an awesome looking character with a great presence on the tabletop. While of course, the model could find its place amongst the ranks of the Daughters Of Khaine (who knows what's under that armour?) it could also work in you Corsair force. That's where these fellows come in too...
Mengil Manhide’s Manflayers are from the long forgotten Dogs Of war range and could make up an awesome crew that would follow Lokhir into battle on the tabletop. Back to the Daughters Of Khaine however and we have this Sorceress mounted on a Cold One.
There will be many other options added to their webstore for you to snap up. If you want to get some of these older models into your collection this is a perfect opportunity to do so.
Have you been playing as the Idoneth Deepkin in Age Of Sigmar?

Yes! I have been waiting for that big turtle. happy to see Mengil’s return too, always loved the different regiments of renown from the Dogs of War.
Giant sea turtle eh? It’s interesting as idea and giant sea turtle itself is well executed but I am not really liking those sea elves riding it.
I think the elves on top look a bit overly busy and detract from it. Otherwise though I really like the concept of the thing.
Either way it looks enormous! I dunno how people transport this stuff.
As I’ve commented previously, I want to see someone convert the turtle so there are four mutant elephants riding on its back holding up the howdah. 😉
Lokhir is a nice mini, good to see him return; I’ve always wanted to see someone paint him up as a Mind flayer rather than a guy in a mask. You didn’t mention it, but I think both Lokhir and the Manflayers would look good in a Deepkin army (not sure what as though).
Wow its like something from Naboo and the raptor looks fabulous as well.
Love the sorceress on a cold one.
The leviadon is making me hungry.. hopefully they will release a garlic butter cannon..
Turtle is a lovely model, thing on the back not so much.
Nice to see old stuff coming back for those that missed it
You could always make your own howdah and use the standard one as a vehicle for Dark Elder. 😉
If I wanted to do an army I could, seems a missed opportunity though. Also insert generic high elvish platform here.
It just getting silly now XD
