New Studio Giraldez Paint Job!
We also had something impressive shared by Angel Giraldez as he painted up another duo from the game. Here we have Doctor Claire Smith & Mel The Medical Koala.
That is one sterling paint job and once again echoes the look of the artwork very well indeed. I really like the way that the character models are coming out, especially for board game miniatures.

@brennon : need a koala to add to your Burrows & Badgers warband? 😉
If my life is going to depend on a medical Koala I hope that I am not injured during it’s 18 hours of sleep …. lazy sods . …. they are also my State’s Fauna emblem so I am feeling a little bit disloyal picking on them … but they really aren’t very active.
Also don’t 90% of them have chlamydia? Don’t think it’s a strain that can cross the species barrier but would you want to risk it while being treated for an open battlefield round by one?

No it’s a very unique to them form of chlamydia…. They are cute and all but Koala’s have a few problems. Eg. As they are evolved from a proto Wombat ancestor their pouce faces backwards …makes sense for a borrowing wombat not for an aboreal Koala. I’ve seen video of the joeys (all baby marsupials are joeys not just kangaroos) leaving the pouch for the first time and cheez it makes their life had….. silly bloody koalas
Borrowing wombat? Do you guys have so many marsupials that you have spares you just lend out or did you mean it’s known for lending things itself to other wombats? 😉
I think giraffes have it worse – unless I’m mistaken the newborns come out headfirst from like five feet up, at least koala joeys can cling on to their mum’s fur to avoid dropping.
