Let’s Play: Blood Red Skies – Dornier Bomber Escort
May 8, 2018 by dignity
Old Blighty is under aerial attack in this new World War II tabletop miniature aircraft combat game from Warlord Games.
After their games with the guys from Warlord, John and Justin are putting their new found pilot skills to the test in this bomber escort scenario.

That was a very interesting game and it also showed us fabulous models of Dornier bombers. Are those from Warlord, and if so, when are they going to come out? Will there be bomber models from other nations, too?
The tactical depth of the game excites me and I believe there is a long way to mastery of this game. So there´ll be fun for a very long time. Splendid.
I don’t think they have any bombers available (yet).
My concern is how durable the bases will be. If they sold packs of spares i’d be happier.
Game does look great.
They were JU88s standing in for Dorniers I believe,
@tankkommander from what I have heard there is nothing to worry about. Also The bases are quite robust, and besides the bases discs are removable so you can swap them about, every plane you buy has a flight stand. And Warlord from what I hear are going to be selling them in packs for spares:-)
Bombers are Zvezda and apparently are coming this summer as squadrons from Warlord for BRS
Nice game, perfect editing xD
Nice bomber miniatures and they do change game from straight dog-fighting.
The bombers are in my opinion key to the game especially in Europe I am looking forward to the big 4 engine bombers like the Lancaster 🙂
Enjoying the BRS content chaps.. tally ho!!
I really enjoyed that game, thank you. I;m still putting off my first game until I can get hold off some decals.
Oh ooh, I just did a panic buy of this game :’D
Thanks John for luring me into this one
Would love to see hurricanes and the mosquito for the brits. Any plans for night fighters? Night missions complete with search lights and radar would add a whole new twist to what looks like a real well put together system.
