Hold The Endless Pass In WizKids’ New Viking Game

WizKids surprised folks this week with a look at Endless Pass: A Viking Saga.

The game looks incredibly stylish with art from Craig Peterson and game design by Nuria Casellas. Two to six players will be battling it out to be the last Viking left standing or the first to ten Glory.

Each turn you will draw a card from the Pass Deck and see what reptilian monster you must face. You can either choose to engage it and destroy it with fire, sword, axe and brute force or dodge away from it and let it engage the next player. A cunning player can let another get overwhelmed by monsters - although that doesn't seem very honourable!

Speaking of which, you don't have to attack the Endless. You can also attack other Vikings but they won't take it lying down.

One of the other touches that I liked with this game is that you have standard 'blank' Vikings for want of a better word that you can play as to begin with, and then you can upgrade to some named characters, each with their own skills and abilities to add some asymmetry to the experience.
