USAopoly Announce Four New “Magical” Harry Potter Games
March 21, 2018 by deltagamegirl22
Did someone say magic? (wand at the ready) USAopoly announced at GAMA that they will be bringing three new Harry Potter themed games forward as well as one based on Fantastic Beasts! These new titles will all be available in the fall months.
First up will be Harry Potter Codenames. The game will feature the Duets mechanic and have words on one side and images on the other. Players work together to uncover the clues from the Order of the Phoenix, while avoiding the Villain square or the Dark Guard square, which ends the game.
Next up is one I'm super excited about, Harry Potter Munchkin Deluxe! Not just any Munchkin either. It's the first Munchkin game to feature photos, rather than art, drawn from the movies. There will be a game board for players to track their progress, rather than individual progress cards, and play in the Munchkin style we have all come to know and love.
For those of us that have fallen in love with the Hogwarts Battle Deck Building Game, there's a competitive companion in the works with Harry Potter: Hogwarts Battle Dueling Club. This game will allow two players to face off against one another and attempt to build decks powerful enough to wipe the other off the board.
And last, but certainly not least, is Fantastic Beasts: Perilous Pursuit, a press your luck, set collecting dice game. The goal in this one is to be the first player to collect five creatures in the suitcase.
Expecto my money!
What do you think of these exciting magical titles on the way?

this is well timed and hopefully will ease the grumblings from the boardgame community about the Harry Potter miniatures adventure game. me, i’m over the moon about the beautiful resin sculpts. the boardgamers, not so much.
must give the hogwarts deck builder a go when i get the chance and my sister will certainly weigh up the others.
Great do they say what age group’s the games cover.
